Mediation is a structured, confidential negotiation in which a neutral mediator helps both spouses reach an agreement on the issues in a divorce or family law matter — property division, time-sharing, support, and more — without a contested trial. Florida courts encourage it, and under Fla. Stat. § 61.183 mediation communications are confidential and inadmissible at trial. It is usually faster, more private, and far less expensive than litigating.
Sessions are led by Nadia Pazos, a Florida family mediator who has handled divorce and parenting-plan mediations across South Florida for over 20 years. The firm offers private mediation for couples and for attorneys seeking a mediator for their clients.

Frequently Asked Questions
How long is a mediation session?
Most family mediations are scheduled in half-day or full-day blocks, depending on the number and complexity of the issues. We’ll recommend a length when you book.
Do both spouses need to attend?
Yes — mediation works because both parties participate, each able to caucus privately with the mediator. Attorneys may attend but are not required for private mediation.
Is mediation confidential?
Yes. Under Fla. Stat. § 61.183 and Florida’s mediation confidentiality rules, what is said in mediation is confidential and generally cannot be used later in court.
